Senior Copywriter

Job Description:

We are looking for a creative Copywriter with a business background to write clear and concise copy for ads, blog, publications and websites. Your words will inform and engage target audiences.

Responsibilities

• Write copy for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online.
• Write compelling and fresh digital content on a daily basis
• Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
• Write and develop case studies
• Write and create scripts, slogans, catch phrases and messages for ad campaigns.
• Deliver engaging social content to support promotions and marketing initiatives
• Conduct high-quality research and interviews.
• Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach.
• Collaborate with designers, marketing specialist and other professionals on marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages)
• Drive brand consistency across all company communications
• Develop and implement brand guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and Shipping industry trends
• Verify the accuracy of all referenced facts (e.g., times, dates, statistics) and double-check cross-referenced materials.
• Revise copy based on internal feedback and direction

Requirements

• BSc/BA in English, journalism, marketing, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a copywriter or related role
• Previous experience/knowledge of shipping sector is a plus
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience with SEO
• Strong research skills
