Natalie Sallaum Featured on Lloyd’s Podcast
In a recent Lloyd’s List podcast, Natalie Sallaum, chief relationship officer, emphasizes the dual objective of profitability and corporate responsibility. Natalie discussed that long-term success stems from being a responsible corporate citizen, where value extends beyond financial metrics to include positive contributions to the community and environment. Sallaum Lines’ ownership structure allows for more flexibility in prioritizing these values, unlike publicly traded companies that may face short-term pressures.
Natalie also discussed various community and environmental initiatives, such as the Wave Makers Initiative, and projects like Mozambique’s Marine Conservation Institute’s ‘Blue Spark’ initiative. The podcast emphasized encouraging employee participation in local activities and making strides to reduce carbon emissions through investments in LNG dual-fuel carriers.
