Belgium | Our Journey Forward: A Closer Look at Sallaum Lines
Sallaum Lines recently released its corporate film that does more than just document the company’s history; it sets out where the compnay is headed. The film traces the operational origins through to the transformation of Sallaum Terminal in Antwerp, which underwent a full year of reconstruction to reach the throughput capacity and technical standards Sallaum Lines’ growing fleet demands.
Beyond the terminal, the film highlights the strategic investments and sustainability initiatives shaping our service offering, including LNG dual-fuel propulsion and long-term route development.

Cyprus | Relocating HeadQuarters to Limassol
Sallaum Lines has relocated its global headquarters from Sarnen, Switzerland, to Limassol, Cyprus. The decision was made to align the company’s operational base with the scale of its current expansion programme and the markets that now define its growth.
Cyprus offers a recognised maritime authority, proximity to key Eastern Mediterranean trade routes, and a regulatory environment suited to the fleet registration, financing, and crewing arrangements of a global PCTC operator. The move positions the company closer to its partners, ports, and clients at the central of its busiest corridors.
The timing of this step was deliberate. With six new dual-fuel vessels being phased into service and a €20 million reinvestment programme underway at Sallaum Terminal Antwerp, the company required a headquarters infrastructure capable of supporting that level of operational activity.

Europe – Africa | Blue Corridor Initiative
Sallaum Lines has introduced the Blue Corridor, a targeted decarbonisation programme that shifts sustainability from broad commitments to route-specific action. Launching on the Europe–Africa trade lane, the initiative focuses on delivering measurable impact where it matters most across the supply chain.
At its core is the deployment of the Ocean Class dual-fuel vessels powered by LNG, combining reduced CO₂ emissions with advanced energy-efficiency systems to optimise performance across varying operating conditions.
Beyond fleet deployment, the Blue Corridor establishes a new standard in transparency and accountability, providing clients with verified, cargo-level emissions data to support compliance.
As the Ocean Class fleet expands, this framework will scale to additional trade lanes, positioning low-carbon RoRo shipping as a practical, data-driven solution embedded within global logistics networks.

China | Ocean Explorer Delivery
Sallaum Lines took delivery of MV Ocean Explorer, the latest addition to its Ocean Class PCTC series, at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard. Ocean Explorer is an LNG dual-fuel vessel built to the company’s 7,500 CEU specification, designed for the high-volume automotive trade lanes that form the backbone of our network.
The vessel’s entry into service adds capacity on priority routes while offering a the lower per-unit emissions profile, increasingly required by OEM and logistics clients. Ocean Explorer is not a standalone acquisition; it forms part of a phased newbuilding programme that is progressively enhancing the overall capability of our fleet.

Cyprus | Cyprus Flag Registration
In parallel with the headquarters move, Sallaum Lines has initiated the Cyprus Flag registration of its fleet, working directly with the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus. This process consolidates the company’s regulatory framework under a single, well-regarded maritime jurisdiction, simplifying compliance, improving fleet management, and strengthening its position with insurers, port authorities, and financing partners.
For clients, this means a fleet operating under consistent and transparent international standards across every vessel in the Ocean Class series. For Sallaum Lines, it represents a structural step that reduces administrative complexity as the fleet continues to grow.

UAE | Breakbulk Middle East Debut
Sallaum Lines participated for the first time in Breakbulk Middle East 2026, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event brought together project cargo owners, freight forwarders, port operators, and transport providers; an audience directly relevant to our expanding capabilities in the region.
Our team used the event to introduce Sallaum Lines’ RoRo and breakbulk offering to regional decision-makers who may not yet have worked with us directly, while strengthening relationships with partners already active across our Middle East corridors. As a first-time participant, the event supported the expansion of our brand presence across the region.
China | Ocean Legacy Delivery Ceremony
The second vessel delivered this quarter, MV Ocean Legacy, joins the fleet following a formal ceremony at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., attended by Chairman Mr. Sami Sallaum. Similar to Ocean Explorer, Ocean Legacy is equipped with LNG dual-fuel propulsion and advanced energy efficiency systems, bringing the Ocean Class series to a total of two new deliveries within the quarter.
The pace of these deliveries is deliberate. Each vessel increases the overall carrying capacity available to our clients while systematically reducing the fleet’s average emissions intensity. As the programme continues, Sallaum Lines will be positioned to offer clients not only scale, but also verified environmental performance across a modern, consistent fleet.

Sallaum Lines | EcoVadis Bronze Medal
Sallaum Lines has received a Bronze Medal rating from EcoVadis for 2025, placing the company in the top 35% of businesses assessed globally across environmental, social, and governance criteria. EcoVadis is one of the most widely used third-party sustainability assessment platforms across global supply chains, with ratings referenced by customers and charterers when evaluating carrier partners.
“Earning a Bronze rating reinforces our credibility in a market where customers and charterers increasingly prioritise verified ESG performance and long-term accountability.”
— Charbel Khoueiry, Sustainability & Energy Efficiency Manager, Sallaum Lines
The rating reflects our structured approach to emissions management, supply chain transparency, and regulatory compliance; areas where we have invested consistently over time. It is the first externally verified ESG benchmark Sallaum Lines has achieved, establishing a baseline from which we intend to improve.

Belgium | Ocean Explorer Maiden Voyage to Sallaum Terminal
To mark Ocean Explorer’s first call at Sallaum Terminal Antwerp, Sallaum Lines hosted a group of customers and industry partners for an exclusive onboard visit. Guests were given access to the vessel’s operational areas, guided through its LNG dual-fuel systems, and introduced to the team responsible for its day-to-day management.
The purpose was simple : to give clients direct, first-hand visibility into what the Ocean Class vessels, rather than relying on specification sheets. The feedback from the visit now informs how we present the class to prospective partners.
Antwerp remains one of our highest-activity RoRo hubs, and this maiden call reinforced its role as the operational centrepiece of our European network.

Germany | Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Europe
The Sallaum Lines team returned to Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Europe 2026 in Munich, the industry’s leading European forum for OEMs, tier-one suppliers, and logistics providers.
The 2 days event included working sessions on European supply chain restructuring, the evolving role of RoRo in EV logistics, and regulatory changes affecting cross-border automotive flows.
Our attendance served a dual purpose: staying current on the shifts directly impacting our clients’ transportation requirements, and maintaining direct access to senior decision-makers across the OEM and logistics sectors. (I domt like the last part. Replace with: … and reinforcing our relationships with senior decision-makers across the OEM and logistics sector.
